Welcome to Ray's Sunshine
This picture was taken in 2005 at Riley Hospital. Ray (left) and his good friend Dean passed the time during treatments and in-patient stays playing video games ,watching moves, playing pokemon and doing crafts. It is our goal to let kids smile like this while they are fighting cancer.

Foundation ProfileRay's Sunshine was started by Ray's family. Ray was a brave little boy with big ideas on how to help other "chemo kids". Ray was the inspiration for the foundation and the services that are provided. Ray wanted to live a normal life while he was receiving chemotherapy and fighting for his life. This was easier said than done, so he came up with fun ideas on how to do this. His "Big Ideas" needed the involvement of every family member; Mom, Dad, brother Jake and often grandparents and aunts and uncles. He also had a lot of help from friends and other family members hoping to help Ray live his normal life. These ideas developed the plan for the foundation to help other kids lives be "more about living than cancer" and to help parents focus on the important things and worry less about the financial stresses. Having the ability to be at the hospital and with your ill child every moment, although painful, it is a blessing. At Ray's Sunshine Foundation, we want parents to be with their children and to worry less about the bills than the happiness of their children.
