We regret to inform you that due to economic stresses of our supporters and the foundation, we will not have the Race For Ray 2009. Please check the main website at www.rayssunshine.org for more information.
Race MissionThe mission of the race is to provide financial assistance through physical endurance. Many patients and families join us on Race Day, seeing others go the extra distance helps give them hope to continue to fight and win the battle. Ray's StoryRay was a normal rough and tumble 5 year old. He struggled with cold, fevers and other illnesses for months and finally Ray's Mom and Dad took him to Riley Children's Hospital Emergency Room. On January 14, 2004, 6 days after his 5th birthday Ray was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. This is a day his family and friends would never forget. Ray fought for over 2 years, through illness and infections , a bone marrow transplant and numerous rounds of chemotherapy. Ray won his battle by going to Heaven. There were times of illness and sadness, but Ray loved the support that he got from his family, friends and complete strangers. Ray's cousin's love ]started this race. Ray's love for others will carry on his legacy through this race and Ray's Sunshine Foundation. You can read more about Ray by clicking here. Contact Information
